About Me – Wini Thomas BSc (Hons) Ost, BA (Hons)
Following my early career as a professional dancer, I became fascinated by the incredible resilience and vulnerability of the human body. This curiosity led me into holistic health, first through therapeutic and sports massage, then completing a five-year honours degree in Osteopathy. Over the years, I’ve continued to expand my training, including Applied Kinesiology and advanced study in mineral balancing – a science-based approach that has not only transformed my own health but also deepened the way I support my patients.
My personal journey has shaped the work I do today. At 36, I was diagnosed with thyroid disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Not long after, I began struggling with exhaustion, aches, and the weight of juggling motherhood, a demanding physical career, and personal challenges. Despite years of research, treatments, and experimenting with different protocols, I was still worried about my bone health and the very real risk of osteoporosis. It wasn’t until I discovered mineral balancing that I finally began to rebuild my strength and energy from within.
Today, as a Registered Osteopath and Mineral Balancing Practitioner, I specialise in helping peri-menopausal and menopausal women who are struggling with joint pain, with a particular focus on preventing and managing osteopenia and osteoporosis. My mission is to guide women in restoring their vitality, easing pain, and building strong, healthy bones – so they can move with confidence and live with energy at every stage of life.
More About My Non-biz Life…
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll usually find me playing chauffeur to my daughter (honestly, I think I deserve a medal for the mileage alone!) or out enjoying the fruits of my latest foraging adventures. Food is my love language – whether I’m growing it, cooking it, or, let’s be honest, eating it.
I spend a fair amount of time in the garden attempting to grow my own produce. “Attempting” being the key word here – sometimes it thrives, sometimes it’s more of a “well, at least the chickens enjoyed it” situation. Speaking of chickens, mine provide endless entertainment and eggs, and one day I’m determined to add goats into the mix. Not just because they’re hilarious, but because the thought of making raw yogurt, cheese, and even homemade soap from their milk makes me ridiculously excited. So yes…watch this space!
