Wini Thomas, Osteopath & Mineral Balancing Practitioner for Women’s Joint & Bone Health

My Journey from Professional Dancer to Osteopath

Following my early career as a professional dancer, I became fascinated by the incredible resilience, and vulnerability of the human body. This curiosity led me into holistic health, first through therapeutic and sports massage, and then on to completing a five-year honours degree in Osteopathy.

Over the years, I’ve continued to expand my training, including Applied Kinesiology and advanced study in Mineral Balancing, a science-based approach that has not only transformed my own health, but also deepened the way I support my patients as a women’s health osteopath.

My Personal Healing Journey with Hormones, Pain & Bone Health

My personal journey is deeply woven into the work I do today.

At 36, I found myself on my own healing path. Despite years of research, treatments, and trying different approaches, I still didn’t feel well in my body. I was living with persistent symptoms, hormonal imbalance, and a quiet but growing concern about my bone health, aware of the very real risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis.

I knew there had to be another way – one that looked deeper.

How Mineral Balancing Changed Everything

Everything changed when I discovered Mineral Balancing.

For the first time, I could see what was happening beneath the surface. Hidden imbalances began to reveal themselves, chronic inflammation, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal stress, blood sugar instability, and even the impact of heavy metals.

This wasn’t about quick fixes. It was about understanding my body and supporting it at a foundational level, restoring energy, supporting hormonal health, and creating stronger foundations for long-term bone health.

This journey didn’t just transform my health – it reshaped the way I support the women I work with today.

How I Support Women with Joint Pain, Osteopenia & Osteoporosis

Today, as a Registered Osteopath and Mineral Balancing Practitioner, I specialise in helping peri-menopausal and menopausal women who are struggling with joint pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, and declining bone health.

I have a particular focus on supporting women in the prevention and management of osteopenia and osteoporosis, guiding them to restore vitality, find lasting joint pain relief, and build strong, resilient bones.

My aim is simple: to help you move with confidence, feel at home in your body, and live with energy at every stage of life.

My Approach: Combining Osteopathy with Functional & Holistic Therapies

I believe the body works as an interconnected system—and that true healing comes from addressing the root cause, not just the symptoms.

By combining hands-on osteopathic treatment with functional testing and holistic therapies, I support your body on multiple levels – from posture, structure, and movement to hormones, minerals, inflammation, and nervous system balance.

This integrated approach is especially valuable for women navigating peri-menopause, menopause, and the physical changes that can affect joints, energy, and bone density.

Osteopathy & Applied Kinesiology for Joint Pain & Mobility

As an osteopath, I use hands-on techniques to improve joint mobility, reduce pain, and support the body’s natural ability to heal.

Osteopathy can be especially effective for women experiencing joint stiffness, back pain, neck pain, hip discomfort, or reduced movement as they move through peri-menopause and beyond.

Applied Kinesiology allows me to assess the body in a deeper way, helping to identify underlying imbalances that may be contributing to pain, fatigue, hormonal disruption, or poor recovery.

It’s a powerful tool that complements osteopathy by guiding more personalised and targeted support.

Mineral Balancing for Hormones, Energy & Bone Health

Mineral Balancing is a science-based approach that looks at the body’s mineral status to uncover hidden stress patterns and imbalances.

I use this to support hormonal health, energy levels, nervous system regulation, metabolism, and bone strength – helping to address issues such as adrenal stress, thyroid function, inflammation, and nutrient deficiencies at their root.

For many women, this deeper insight becomes a valuable part of supporting osteoporosis prevention and long-term vitality.

Who I Work With

I work with women in their mid-30s through to post-menopause who are ready to take a deeper, more proactive approach to their health.

Many of the women I support are experiencing:

  • Persistent joint pain or stiffness
  • Hormonal changes, low energy, or fatigue
  • Concerns about bone density, osteopenia, or osteoporosis
  • A sense that “something isn’t quite right,” despite trying multiple approaches

They’re often looking for answers and a plan that supports not just symptom relief, but long-term health, mobility, and resilience.

My Mission: Helping Women Feel Strong From Within

My mission is to help women feel strong, supported, and empowered in their bodies, especially during the hormonal transitions of midlife.

Through a combination of osteopathy, mineral balancing, and a deeply personalised approach, I guide women back to a place of strength, resilience, and confidence, from the inside out.

A Little More About Me (Beyond the Clinic)

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll usually find me out enjoying the fruits of my latest foraging adventures. Food is my love language, whether I’m growing it, cooking it, or, let’s be honest, eating it.

I spend a fair amount of time in the garden attempting to grow my own produce. “Attempting” being the key word here, sometimes it thrives, sometimes it’s more of a “well, at least the chickens enjoyed it” situation.

Speaking of chickens, mine provide endless entertainment (and eggs), and one day I’m determined to add goats into the mix. Not just because they’re hilarious, but because the thought of making raw yoghurt, cheese, and even homemade soap from their milk makes me ridiculously excited.

So yes…watch this space!
